Is an injectable filler containing calcium which is naturally found in the body. It provides immediate results when injected into areas that have lost volume in your face over the years, such as cheeks, chin and temporal areas. How does RADIESSE® work?
- Upon injection, RADIESSE wrinkle filler immediately adds volume to facial features.
- After two to three months, macrophages start to dissolve the sodium carboxymethylcellulose gel carrier. The CaHA microspheres remain.
- Macrophages continue to dissolve the gel carrier. Fibroblasts form new collagen.
- New resident tissue (collagen) surrounds the CaHA microspheres.
- The CaHA microspheres degrade and are phagocytized and metabolized by macrophages.
- Even the small fragments of CaHA are decomposed at the implant site, without evidence of migration.
RADIESSE® is made of unique calcium-based microspheres that are suspended in a water-based gel and injected into the skin through a simple, safe, and minimally invasive procedure.
Hundreds of thousands of patients have experienced RADIESSE®, and thousands of physicians worldwide have been trained to provide RADIESSE® treatments. Through years of rigorous clinical studies and independent research, RADIESSE® has proven to be safe and effective. With RADIESSE®, you get safe, FDA-approved, clinically tested results.
A Natural Look That Lasts
These prominent aging lines running from the corner of the nose to the outer area of the lips can be more prominent in some people. Up until now, filler treatment for this area of the face was short-lived. Now, the nasolabial folds can be successfully treated with RADIESSE® injected into the deep dermis, with much longer lasting results.
Naso Labial Folds
A recently published independent studies, Kanchwala (et. al.), comparing RADIESSE® and three other soft-tissue fillers for facial-volume augmentation recommended RADIESSE® as the preferred filler for augmenting nasolabial folds. The longevity of RADIESSE® was rated as excellent, averaging 11 months. On the other hand, Restylane® and Hylaform lasted only 4.5 months and 3 months respectively. In addition, investigators concluded that RADIESSE® is a cost-effective option in treating nasolabial folds due to its overall longevity. Published independent studies show that a typical treatment for nasolabial folds lasts approximately one year to 18 months, with an occasional touchup recommended.
These lines at the corners of the mouth can make you look very serious, or sad, even when your face is at rest. RADIESSE® allows you to carefully augment these small lines with only local anesthesia – with immediate results. Published independent studies show that a typical treatment for marionette lines lasts approximately 9-12 months, with no recommended touchup prior to that time. A touch up will provide an even longer augmentation.
Since skin loses elasticity over time and gravity pulls facial muscles downward, the jaw line is one of the most common facial areas where aging becomes apparent. RADIESSE® is an excellent choice to re-shape and contour the jaw line and chin. The result is a smoother, firmer jaw line that mirrors the younger-looking appearance of other facial areas treated with RADIESSE®.
Do you want to improve the appearance of your nose without undergoing major rhinoplasty surgery? Or do you want to finesse the outcome of a previous nose surgery? RADIESSE® offers a quick, immediate, non-surgical, non-invasive procedure for nasal contouring that no other filler can provide.
Commonly known as non-surgical rhinoplasty, RADIESSE® offers a unique composition that is extremely versatile and can build up the bridge of your nose, or camouflage a hump, (straightening your profile); balance an asymmetry, or correct defects and shape the nose tip. And with this injectable filler, patients don’t have to wait to see results; they are immediate and long-lasting. In fact, published independent studies show that a typical RADIESSE® treatment for non-surgical rhinoplasty or correcting post-rhinoplasty defects lasts approximately 18 months to two years, with an occasional touchup recommended.
Breathing problems related to nasal obstruction are due to numerous anatomic and physiologic causes. These can lead to decreased airflow through the nose and produce common patient complaints such as sinus blockage, infection, pain, dry nose or mouth, nosebleeds, and snoring. Some of the most common culprits include a deviated septum, collapse of the internal nasal valve, or even elective rhinoplasty.
Until recently, correction of this condition required major invasive surgery, with considerable pain, expense, and downtime. But now, a non-surgical procedure using RADIESSE® is proving successful in spreading and strengthening weak nasal cartilage to relieve nasal obstruction and improve airflow. Researchers (Mangubat and Nyte), report that the RADIESSE® treatment is far less invasive (and less expensive) and can be performed in the doctor’s office, with the patient awake under local anesthesia. This groundbreaking technique is a five-minute procedure vs. a 1-1/2 hour operation and results can last up to one year.
