(An Alpha – Hydroxy Acid) Glycolic acid is water soluble, deep cleansing and exfoliating. It increases the rate at which the skin sheds dead cells and reveals new cells. Improves dry skin, age spots and acne prone skin.

It is a well-recognized fact that the skin rejuvenates itself by a process of exfoliating the outer layers of the old cells and replacing them with healthy cells. This process is seen functioning optimally in the infant and young child where mature cells shed easily and new cells grow back rapidly. As we age, this process slows down. Excessive amounts of dead cells accumulate resulting in dry skin, wrinkling, and age spots by removing the outer layer of dead cells, the underlying younger healthy cells are exposed – resulting in a striking improvement in the appearance and texture of the skin. New cell growth is stimulated returning the skin to its younger condition.

Alpha Hydroxy Acids such as Glycolic Acid, Lactic Acid, and Salicylic Acid have been proven to be excellent exfoliates, removing aging cells and stimulating new division.

As this unique product contains no water, it is free of chemical emulsifiers and preservatives — unlike other moisturizing creams. Only active ingredients are used with proven benefits to the skin.

Skin moisturizing creams are typically made by combining oil with water. In order to combine oil with water, an emulsifier is required. Because cream can be an ideal culture medium for bacteria growth, it becomes necessary to add preservatives. Preservatives may have a brownish tint and odor, therefore fragrances and coloring agents are added. Stabilizers and other chemicals may also be added to enhance the appearance of the product and the end result is usually a concoction of chemicals that have no beneficial effect. On the contrary, many of these additives can be harmful to the skin and cause premature aging.

Dr. Becker’s 100% Chemical and Preservative Free Moisturizer contains only natural ingredients that promote the healing of delicate skin tissue. Because there are no harmful chemicals or additives, this product nourishes and stimulates new cell growth resulting in immediate improvement of the skin and with long-term use, the results are dramatic.

Squalane is a remarkable extract found in olive oil. It is also synthesized in the human liver, a deficiency of which results in dry skin and premature aging. Squalane is an unsaturated oil having a molecular structure similar to Vitamin A.

Squalane was initially discovered in Japan where it was used successfully to treat tuberculosis. It has been shown to have beneficial effects in the management of dermatitis and skin cancer. Japanese scientists also believe that squalane has a tumor blocking potential. It has been found to be a remarkable immunopotentiating agent which stimulates cell mediated cytotoxicity and suppression of tumor growth (Natural Tumour Centre Japan). Studies have shown that squalane has a stimulatory effect on the healing process which is thought to be due to its oxidizing effect.

Squalane is used in some of the world’s most expensive beauty formulas. Beneficial effects on the skin include decrease in dryness and smoothing of wrinkles and scaly skin. Squalane is one of the most effective moisturizers available.

Salicylic Acid, a Beta-Hydroxy Acid, is a highly effective superficial peeling agent and pore cleanser. Salicylic Acid loosens and removes aging cells, oil and debris attached to the skin surface. It stimulates new skin cell production and increased collagen formation. As salicylic acid is oil soluable and lipophilic, it penetrates sebum filled follicles and cleans out clogged pores. Resulting in marked improvement in acne prone skin.

Regular use of salicylic acid will also result in a decrease of fine lines, smoother skin, more even pigmentation and a reduction in pore size.

One of the most important biological functions of hyaluronic acid is to retain water, a role based on its capacity to hold more water than any other natural substance. Hyaluronic acid plays an important role in tissue hydration, lubrication and cellular function. Hyaluronic acid is used in some of the top selling commercial products such as Estee Lauder’s Night Repair Lotion and Lancome’s Activating Serum. However due to it’s high cost it is used in very small concentrations in these products. Hyaluronic acid has been shown to reduce dryness, itching and buring of the skin. Its unmatched hydrating properties result in increased smoothness, softening and decreased wrinkles.

Hyaluronic Acid is a major constituent of the extra-cellular matrix surronding rapidly dividing cells. Hyaluronic acid has been shown to be an integral componet in the rapid and scarless wound healing observed in fetal and neonatal organisms. The cellular actions precipitated by hyaluronic acid are integral to the seemingly magical biochemistry of fetal development. It is well documented that fetal tissues contain large amounts of hyaluronic acid and that decreasing hyaluronic acid content correlates with aging and wrinkling. Therefore practical attempts to prolong and recapture youth by revitalizing damaged tissue should include this molecule.

Hyaluronic Acid is naturally found in the joints, the deeper layers of skin, the umbilical cord and in fetal skin. Medical grade hyaluronic acid is currently employed to reduce the incidence of post operative adhesions, as a viscoelastic again in intraocular surgery and as a synovial replacement fluid. Hyaluronic acid offers an excellent environment for the growth of new cells and healing following skin peeling.

How the System Works:

It is a well recognized fact that the skin rejuvenates itself by a process of exfoliating the outer layers of old cells and replacing them with new healthy cells.

As we age, the rate of exfoliation slows down, allowing old dry cells to accumulate on the surface of the skin. These cells become darkened and result in wrinkling of the skin. Exfoliation removes the outer layers of dead cells, exposing the underlying younger healthy cells. New cell growth is then stimulated returing the skin to it’s younger condition. The cells are then nourished and protected by a natural vitamin enriched moisturizer.

  1. Exfoliate and Stimulate

Glycolic Acid Exfoliator (fruit acid gel)- Glycolic Acid or Lactic Acid Exfoliator removes damaged cells from the outer layer of skin resulting in a decrease in fine lines and more even pigmentation. Exfoliation stimulates new cell growth and Collagen Formation. Lactic Acid is a more gentle exfoliator.

  2. Moisturize, Nourish, and Protect

    Moisturize:

100% Hyaluronic Acid – Hyaluronic Acid is the fluid naturally found in the joints where it act as a lubricant. It is also found between collegen fibers in the skin where it nourished and thickens the deep layer of skin. Hyaluronic Acid is able to hold more water than any other substance.

100% Squalene- Squalene is the main constituent of sebum, the skins own moisturizer. It thus replaces naturally what the skin looses with aging.

    Nourish:

    Vitamin A- Stimulates healing
Vitamin C- Stimulates collagen formation and protects against UV light
    Vitamin E- Antioxidant

    Protect:

    Zinc Oxide

Instructions for use:

  1. Glycolic Acid

Apply a small amount of exfoliator to a cotton gauze pad. With a mild buffing action, throughly cleanse the skin. As the outer layer of dead cells and trapped sebum is removed, a smoother more vibrant appearance will immediately become evident. Rinse with water and pat dry. (preferably using bottled water)

  2. 100% Natural Enhanced Moisturizer

100% natural enhanced moisturizer. Shake well. Apply a few drops in the palm of the hand. Mix with a small amount of water. Apply to the face.
